The Everyday Suit is a space for the new mom, the working mom, the established professional woman, or the woman just starting out in her career- to come and feel welcome, heard, and inspired.
Who am I and what do I do?
My name is Jannette and I am a corporate attorney in Chicago. I am also a new mom, giving birth to my beautiful baby, Emma, in April 2019.
Why start The Everyday Suit?
After having my baby, I realized how important it was for me to have an outlet. I wanted to create a space to talk about my work life, home life, and mom life. I love the thought of building a community of women who can relate to and support one another.
The name came to me when thinking about what I wanted my blog to cover. Being a corporate attorney, I live the “suit” life. But my life is much more than just my job – this space incorporates it all.
What will you be writing about and sharing?
I’m excited to start writing and sharing on this platform! I’ll be posting primarily about style, motherhood, and career- with a dash of beauty and travel.
What’s your wardrobe staple?
You can never go wrong with a classic black boyfriend blazer. Professional enough for the office, but also can be dressed down for a more casual night out! A must in every woman’s closet!
Coffee drink of choice?
I live for a good caramel latte!
